Missouri Tourism, St. Louis and Kansas City receive national marketing, advertising awards

The Missouri Division of Tourism, Explore St. Louis and Visit KC brought home six Adrian Awards for their work to attract visitors to the Show-Me State.

The annual awards for travel marketing, advertising and public relations were presented by the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI)
Jan. 22 in New York.

The Division of Tourism received a Gold Adrian in the digital marketing category for its new website VisitMO.com. The division worked with H&L Partners, St. Louis, to develop the new site. The division also received a silver award for website user experience and its spring social media marketing campaign.

Explore St. Louis received a Best of Show Platinum Adrian, HSMAI’s top award, for its advertising series
featuring actor and St. Louis native Sterling K. Brown. St. Louis also won a Gold Adrian in the integrated marketing category for marketing efforts featuring Brown, star of NBC’s This is Us. Explore St. Louis worked with H&L Partners on the awarding-winning campaign.

Visit KC was awarded with a Gold Adrian in the advertising category for its Chicago Speakeasy advertising campaign. Kansas City worked with MMGY Global on the project.

Established in 1956, the Adrian Awards recognize marketing achievements in hospitality across multiple segments of the industry. Award winners were selected by senior industry and media experts from nearly 1,200 entries in advertising, digital marketing, public relations and integrated marketing.

HSMAI is a global organization of sales, marketing and revenue management professionals representing all segments of the hospitality industry. Founded in the United States in 1927, HSMAI has 5,000 members from 35 countries worldwide.
