Commission & Associations

    Missouri Tourism Commission

In 1967, Missouri’s 74th General Assembly created the state’s Tourism Commission and the Division of Tourism to promote and lead the travel industry in Missouri.

The Missouri Tourism Commission elects a chair, meets at least four times in a calendar year at the call of the chair, and determines all matters relating to policy and administration of tourism promotion.

Travel is vital to the Show-Me State, contributing more than $12.6 billion in taxable sales in the 45 tourism-related NAICS codes and employing more than 300,000 people in FY20.

Commission meeting agendas and minutes from previous meetings are available by contacting Jadrien Bopp at jadrien.bopp@ded.mo.gov.
