Governor’s Conference 2023
See DatesIn 1967, Missouri’s 74th General Assembly created the state’s Tourism Commission and the Division of Tourism to promote and lead the travel industry in Missouri.

Travel is vital to the Show-Me State, contributing more than $12.6 billion in taxable sales in the 45 tourism-related NAICS codes and employing more than 300,000 people in FY20.
Commission meeting agendas and minutes from previous meetings are available by contacting Jadrien Bopp at jadrien.bopp@ded.mo.gov.
Missouri’s chambers of commerce, CVBs and tourism-related organizations offer a variety of information and resources about their specific areas. Tourism partners from these organizations offer expert advice about group travel opportunities in their respective areas.
The Missouri Division of Tourism (MDT) hosted Missouri Tourism Road Shows throughout the state in February and March of 2022. The meetings were held to discuss the significant impact of tourism in our communities and provide an update on how the division is working to promote Missouri as a premier travel destination. Below you will find a link to the road show presentation.
