Thank you for your interest in the Missouri Division of Tourism, the operating arm of the Missouri Tourism Commission. The Missouri Division of Tourism's administrative offices are based in Jefferson City, at the Harry S. Truman Building (Suite 290). MDT employs staff members working in marketing, communications, accounting, group travel and research, and also manages staff at nine Official Missouri Welcome Centers located across the state.
The Missouri Division of Tourism, part of the Missouri Department of Economic Development, is a research-based marketing organization; its goal is to grow tourism market share in Missouri by drawing more visitors and the tax revenue they generate. The Missouri Division of Tourism uses a robust marketing campaign to achieve that goal, with an emphasis on enticing out-of-state travelers to visit Missouri.
