Creating Coupons

Registered users on MDT's Industry Portal may create free coupons to appear with their listing pages on VisitMO.com.

To create a new coupon after you've logged in, click the edit button in the box that says "Create new or update existing coupon."

In the form that follows, fill out each of the fields that tell us: The name of the coupon (which is to say, the name of your business); the offer on the coupon; a photo/logo; description copy that tells users exactly what the coupon provides to those who redeem it and why it’s a good offer.

You might also include some details about what people will find at your property, in case they get to this coupon via our Deals and Discounts page and not via your listing page. Put a start date and end date on the coupon and click submit and then click save. This coupon will be associated with your listing page and will go live on the “start date” you select. If you want the coupon to go live immediately, but only want it to be valid for future dates, make those notes -- something such as "Coupon valid only for stays June 1-June 30" -- in the restrictions field.

You may associate your coupon with up to five other businesses in your area, so long as they are not in direct competition with your business.

If you're creating a coupon while updating an existing listing and using the user control panel, click the plus sign on the “related items” tab. Among the choices is “coupons.” Click “coupons” and then click “add new” and follow the steps outlined above.
